Who are we?

We are 2 Riverwood Juniors in the IB Diploma program; looking to help younger kids with their studies and hopefully raise money for CCC and IFF along the way. Haley has volunteered and donated to these organizations since she was 8 years old and is currently in a leadership program with CCC to help spread their message and volunteer for their goals. Both of our families have been close to IFF for all of the length of the organization and we strive to help and spread awareness as much as possible. Ian is one of the top in his class who has also attended IFF and has known people close to the causes at hand. We both empathize and wish to help these organizations for our own reasons, by utilizing our skills and knowledge through tutoring.

What is CCC?

Creating Connected Communities (CCC) supports thousands of children and families experiencing hardship across Atlanta through outreach programs implemented by hundreds of teen volunteers. The teens in CCC’s Leadership Development Program gain hands-on experience in leadership, service, and community engagement through CCC’s partnerships with housing agencies, educational organizations, and Title 1 schools.  At these programs, CCC provides essential items, such as meals, books, and care packages, while promoting literacy and STEAM education, supporting social & emotional development, and offering thousands of children opportunities to celebrate and be celebrated. What is IFF?

Ian’s Friends Foundation (IFF) is a non-profit organization striving to assist with the research of pediatric brain tumors. IFF is led by Cheryl and Phil Yagoda’s son was diagnosed with this brain tumor and has an amazing story of his own that can be accessed through the following link, along with their goals and donations: Link to IFF
